The New ARS “Cable Buddy” Hoist Cable Inspection Tool provides an easy to use, compact cable inspection system for pre and post flight use. Light weight and intuitive, the Cable Buddy tool allows for weighted cable inspections, cleaning and lubrication and fits all airframes sizes and configurations. The Cable Buddy also allows “captive” cable twist to be relieved on re-seat because hook rotation is unobstructed. Incorrectly rolling your hoist cable on the floor or in a bucket during inspections leads to premature “milking” and reduced cable life. Do it right… Cable Buddy!
